Optiguard vandal protection screens are the chosen means of window security for schools, public buildings authorities, flats, social housing, churches, youth centres and many other high risk public buildings.

Bradbury Window Bars are 20mm solid steel bars fixed to provide maximum protection but designed to rotate to prevent attack from hacksaws. An economic means of securing a building and preventing break-in.

Optiguard Window Security - Technical Information

Optiguard Mesh is constructed from 1.5mm galvanised steel sheets with fine 4mm diameter perforations and a 5mm pitch to give and excellant 60% visibility. The mesh sheets and / or polycarbonate are fully enclosed in an aluminium frame using anti -tamper screws.

Optiguard Window Security Sizes

For maximum protection Optiguard is face fixed. Sizes range from 100mm – 2500mm wide and 100mm – 1200mm high. For larger sizes a panel joining kit is required.

Optiguard Window Security - Finishes

Optiguard is available in a wide range of durable polyester powder coated colours to give Optiguard a versatile and attractive finish. The standard colour is black.

Installation of Optiguard Window Security

Optiguard is secured to the opening by a frame designed to accept a variety of fixings. For maximum protection it is recommended that the barrier is face fixed using anti tamper screws.

For barriers exceeding 1 metre a middle box section is required.

Window Bar - Installation Instructions

Tailor made to measure, Bradbury Anti-Burglar Bars can be fitted to the reveal of a window, face fixed onto the surface of the reveal or a combination of the two. They can also be fitted vertically and horizontally.

This is important to specify at the point of order, as it determines where the fixing holes are to be placed so that they can be pre-drilled prior to delivery. Where the height of the barrier exceeds 1 metre a middle box section is used.

Top Box:

Secures the bars in position. Shown here as face fixed.

Middle Box:

The bars are face fixed by extending the width outside the reveal. Middle box section is only supplied when the height of the barrier exceeds 1 metre.

Fixing Bracket:

Middle box section is fitted inside the reveal using the fixing bracket.

Bottom Box:

The fixing holes are every other vertical.

Each individual solid steel bar is 20mm in diameter and has been designed to rotate through 360 degrees to make attack very difficult.
